Of course, the only way to achieve this is with the right team. Good employee qualification and continued training are very important to the quality of our products.

We work on an international basis, but we feel and exemplify a unique attachment to our region and its people. That is why we work with local suppliers and service providers whenever possible. With these basic principles, we have been able to overcome turbulent times and look to the future with confidence.

1986

Company founded, start of production of insulated doors for cold and ultra low temperature storage rooms in a rented facility at an old furniture factory in Melle. Three employees, one office, 1,600 m² production area and a few used machines.

1987

Complete cold cells and special insulation added to the product portfolio. Production and storage space expanded by 1,200 m².

1992

Purchase of a plate shear and press brake. 60 employees and the first office administrator trainee.

1993

Opening of the sales office in Moscow.

1994

Move to a new company building with 3,600 m² warehouse space, 700 m² office and social area, on a 15,000 m² property in Melle-Wellingholzhausen.
Purchase of a used »Trumatic 235« punch nibbler machine.

1997

The first precision mechanic apprentice.

1999

Purchase of a programmable punch nibbler machine with connection to the CAD system.

2001

Purchase of a foam press in the dimensions 6.4 x 2.4 m, incl. foaming machine.

2002

Opening of the sales office in Shanghai.

2003

Conversion of the first work station from 2D-CAD design to 3D-CAD.

2006

Veit Bowenkamp becomes shareholder and Managing Director.
Expansion of the company premises by 10,000 m².

2007

Expansion of production area by 1,800 m² to a total of 5,400 m².
Delivery and installation of the complete exterior shell of the new German Antarctic research station Neumayer III.

2008

Purchase of a foam press in the dimensions 1.2 x 7 m, incl. foaming machine.

2009

Purchase of the »Salvagnini P4« automatic bending centre.

2010

Expansion of the bending centre with a »Salvagnini S4« punch to become an automatic sheet metal production line with CAD connection.

2011

25 year company anniversary with a total of 105 employees, including 10 apprentices.

2012

Further expansion of the production warehouse.

2013

Purchase of the »Trumatic« 2D laser with tubular laser.

2013 / 14

Construction of a tank farm and additional office and social areas.

2016

Expansion of the production area to a total of approx. 12,000 m². Commissioning of a new foam press.

2017

Founding of a subsidiary in China with its own production in approx. 600 m².

2019 / 20

Construction and commissioning of a fully-automatic, approx. 300 m² area storage system for standard insulating elements.
Expansion of the administrative wing with an additional floor approx. 300 m² in size.
